You must stop him. Seek help from Prince Barin. You have to find his cave first in the jungle... and this within 24 hours! [For "Captain Zapp", Ming is Targ, and Barin is Goram...] Level 1: In the Jungle ---------------------- Try to stay on your feet long enough to map out your surroundings! You can neither save the game nor pause it - You are in real time (except when you are knocked out and then time goes much faster!) You first will have to master the use of your joystick! It is not that simple... At crossroads you can move into and out of the screen by holding the fire button and moving the joystick in the direction you want to go. The complete joystick controls are: move in shoot high medium * * * shot * * * * * * fly-kick *******X******* jump turn *******X******* run * * * * * * * * * low move out duck shot --- Fire button pressed --- --- Fire button not!! pressed --- --------------------------- --------------------------------- (Watch out for wasting ammos here!) You have two pistols, each with 6 bullets. You can reload your weapons by crouching on ammunition boxes found in your path. Making a map (on paper!) is really vital to successfully getting through this first phase of the game. Landmarks are not repeated so keep a note of them. Arrows found in your way help. They point towards Barin's cave. So note them. (Barin is the 'big friend' who supposedly can help you. Alas, he has turned to the enemy, and you will have to battle him instead in the next phase of the game!!!!) Level 2: Battling Barin ----------------------- This is achieved by hitting him more than he hits you! Sounds simple, but you just try it... A range of moves is available to you, controlled like this: | | punch to reverse punch to roll jump roll | head fly-kick head bwd * * * fwd | reverse * * * * * * | * * * * * * | * * * X | walk bwd *******X******* walk fwd * * | * * * * * | * * * * * | * * * punch to reverse kick | fly-kick low punch body floor-kick fwd | | -- Fire button pressed -- | -- Fire button not!! pressed -- ------------------------- | ------------------------------- Level 3: On Your Bike ---------------------- The joystick controls both your movements and fire. The Guards--- Move left & right and the bike moves with you. In order to reach your maximum possible speed, a number of the flying robot guards will need to be taken out. Each one that passes makes it more difficult for you. The Power Gates--- Once traveling at speed, steer through the power gates to build up your energy. This energy will have been sadly depleted by the robot gards dropping heavy explosive objects on you. The Minefield--- One more little obstacle appears in the form of a minefield. Ming lies beyond it. All you have to do is steer through without hitting anything. Each contact depletes your energy again. This can be quickly fatal... At last, Ming!!!--- Should you defy the odds, triumph over adversity and all that, you will catch sight of Ming as he flashes along on his jet-bike. Take him out quickly, as he fights back in a particularly efficient manner. ------------------------------------------- Done all that?
