GRAB-A-CRAB Hobbler the Gobbler will eat almost anything - Grandad's socks, last week's newspapers and even Chinese take-aways. He has discovered a cavern - full of delicious tit-bits - 1000 year old turtle eggs. However, around the corner may lurk a fingerbitingtoesnappinglegcrunching crab waiting to put the bite on him. You must guide Hobbler around eating up the eggs as you go. In each corner lies a Dodo's egg which will give Hobbler extra-strength, causing the claws to fall off the crabs. Hobbler may then eat the crabs who upon being bitten will lose all their meat and appear almost transparent. However, if any crab enters the lobster-pot in the centre of the cavern - all the crabs' powers are reversed, and Hobbler must BEWARE. INSTRUCTIONS Plug joystick into control port 1. Loading Hold down SHIFT key. Hit RUN/STOP key. Press PLAY on tape. Grab-A-Crab will now load. Playing To start game press F7. Using the joystick move Hobbler the Gobbler around - eating eggs and avoiding crabs. Whenever you eat a Dodo's egg the crabs will turn blue and you can Grab-A-Crab for extra points. If you can guide Hobbler to eat the lobster-pot in the centre of the screen - you will be rewarded with extra points. Watch out for crabs you have already bitten - they can still bite back. You only have three lives so tread carefully. From level 3 onwards certain crabs will begin to deposit eggs of their own. You should try to eat these crabs as quickly as possible - as this will stop the egg laying process. However, if you lose a life they will begin to lay again. POINT SCORING You get points for - eating eggs - grabbing a crab - eating a lobster-pot and completely clearing the chamber of eggs. HANDY HINTS 1. Always try to leave the Dodo's eggs until you have eaten most of the turtle's eggs. Only use them in emergencies. 2. If you have eaten all the Dodo's eggs you are allowed one replacement if you can eat the lobster-pot at screen centre. (c) EuroByte Ltd 1983
